Senior Ally Sharnowski, beside sophomore Ally Church, smiles as she finishes the Guy-Girl Pom routine, the first of three routines performed by pom. “The experience was so fun being able to perform in a different sport,” Sharnowski said. “Learning the dance was interesting because once you memorized one 8 count, you go onto another and it became a lot, but once you put it all together, it was great.”
Just before performing with varsity pom at the pep rally, Juniors Megan Kurkowski and Ashley Kakish share a handshake. Kurkowski said they have been doing the same handshake before they perform for two years, symbolizing good luck to help get their nerves out.
